MÖCKLIMORE
El
artista Macklemore su nombre real es Haggerty, nació y creció en Seattle, Washington. Con su música quería llegar a una generación más joven, por eso se vio
inmerso en el programa "Gateways para jóvenes encarcelados".
Macklemore tenía catorce años cuando empezó a
escribir letras de canciones. Con
esa edad sus amigos le llamaban a él como Möcklimore. Cuando comenzó a rapear,
Macklemore escuchaba artistas
como Freestyle Fellowship, Aceyalone, Living Legends, los cuales ejercieron una gran
influencia sobre él y su música.
El rapero estadounidense inició independientemente su música en el 2000.
Macklemore grabó un EP titulado Open
Your Eyes bajo el nombre de
«Profesor Macklemore», que se lanzó en el 2000. Lanzó su primer álbum de estudio oficial, The
Language of My World en enero
de 2005. En septiembre de 2009, publicó The
Unplanned Mixtape.
En octubre de
2010 se asocia con el productor Ryan Lewis, dada su experiencia con la droga,
Macklemore, crea la aclamada canción Otherside. Macklemore luchó con problemas de abuso de
sustancias en el pasado, incluyendo una fuerte droga llamada OxyContin. Él
considera esto como la razón de su falta de producción musical entre 2005 y
2009; pero después de desintoxicarse en 2008 Macklemore y Ryan Lewis se
convirtieron en un dúo muy creativo para su público.
En
octubre de 2012, volvió a tocar las drogas
y se sintió tan culpable que grabó Starting
Over, canción que incluiría en el álbum The
Heist lanzado en 2012.
Después de eso no volvió a consumir y actualmente ni fuma ni consume drogas.
Macklemore conoció a Ryan Lewis en 2006. Lewis estuvo unos años trabajando en
la promoción de Macklemore como fotógrafo. Se hicieron buenos amigos.
En 2008, 2009 y 2011, Macklemore participó en
el Bumbershoot,
uno de los principales festivales de arte y música en Seattle. En 2011, también
actuó en el Festival de Música de Sasquatch y en el Outside Lands Music Festival de San Francisco. En febrero
de 2011, Macklemore y Ryan Lewis iniciaron una gira por varias ciudades
arrasando.
Macklemore fue el bombo sin signo en The Source a principios de 2012 y también estuvo
en la portada de la revista XXL. En 2012 Thrift Shop fue votado como número 1
en la lista The Hottest
100 de la emisora de radio australiana Triple J.
En los
premios Grammy de 2014 el dúo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, ganó en cuatro
categorías: Mejor Artista Nuevo, Mejor Álbum de Rap por su disco The
Heist, con su canción Thrift Shop consiguió dos de los
premios Mejor Interpretación de Rap por su canción y Mejor Canción de Rap.
Análisis de la canción
La canción trata sobre
los derechos de los homosexuales y pone de manifiesto la censura de la homosexualidad
en el hip hop, los medios de comunicación y la sociedad.
El género musical de
la canción es el rap, la introducción es un solo de piano, la acompaña con un
solo vocal masculino, introduce la batería, comienza el estribillo con un solo
vocal femenino acompañado de un piano, batería y un pequeño coro de fondo lo
característico de la canción es que, cada vez que se comienza a cantar la batería
deja solo al piano y después vuelve a entrar la batería, una de las veces que entra la voz femenina hay un pequeño solo de
trombón
y para finalizar termina la voz femenina acompañada de un mini coro.

la manera de expresarse en las canciones y el ritmo.

En cuanto a la intro, no hay, ya que pasas directamente a describir al artista. Respecto al comentario biográfico, está bien, aunque poco elaborado por ti (ya me dirás si tú escribes así: "Macklemore fue el bombo sin signo"). Pasando al análisis musical, salvo por la forma, no entras a analizar más detalles musicales, ni siquiera visuales del vídeo, aunque sí lo que representa su letra y lo que significa para ti. Por último, la opinión personal parece un telegrama, recuerda que esto es un post, no un tuit.
